There are many local non-profit and for-profit companies that start up in DR Congo that have the potential to contribute to the community and economy. Operational training is key.

A visionary can start with a brilliant idea, but it takes an array of skills and strengths to lead an organization and realize its goals. It is easy to fail because of poor management or inadequate leadership. AGIR works with startups to help them succeed by coaching them on management practices such as accounting, reporting, data management and analysis. They also coach outreach skills such as networking and community organization.
